Cool

Doesn't really say much about what the final product will be like - but cool - I like the whole style with the trees/bushes and clouds - I especially liked the animation of the fox turning his head. It'll be cool to see how it turns out.

Pretty Awesome

Nothing to complain about really is there? - does exactly what it says on the tin. Loved the ending, all in all made me chuckle - I loved all the crazy facial expressions. The only thing I didn't much like was the writing on the screen - stuff like "Nene's Parents" could've been achieved smoother through an image, but that's more my own little prefferences than yours, so I'll not mark you down for it. The music fit perfectly. Really liked the style.

Wow

Very sweet - Wonderfully executed animation - the sort of thing I like to see. Something with real substance. The music fit perfectly.

Lancorz responds:

Thanks :D I spent a good week browsing through a mass of music to animate this to, I think I chose the best one. Great thanks to Semaphore that allowed for this song to be shared.

very well done.

I'm glad to see someone getting rid of tweens altogether, as they do tend to stick out like a sore thumb and add a certain level of unprofessionality to a work - The animation was interesting to behold - in certain places it seemed to lapse a little in detail compared with other scenes and the drawing seemed a little sloppier, but overall this didn't matter as it blended together with the rough, sketched style of the main character here. I didn't find the grunts at all annoying - It's strange, but in a way I thought they were a nessecary element in order to keep the flash moving along, it felt like more of a struggle because of this. The music was also very fitting and nicely composed, my only real criticism of the piece is that at 20 fps, I would have expected something a little smoother, but maybe you wanted the speed, not smoothness, I'm not sure.
And lastly well done for the Brackenwood collection - probably the best collection you could be included in - and no, I don't find this flash overly comparable to Phillip's animations - though I did pick up on the odd sneaky technique - Was the "running" scene where the camera turns from side to side around Sisyphus inspired by the Yuyu at all? - if so, good work for pulling it off - it looked awesome.

CatFat responds:

Haha thanks alot, i think the rotating thing probably was (not too sure, this was 3 years ago now), i remember REALLY wanting to try out some 3d camera effect like that after seeing some of the brackenwood films, so i guess thats why i incorporated it, purely for my own enjoyment.
Also i think the 'choppyness' was just me getting lazy, more than anything else :P
Thanks for your positive comments!

Strange...

I really have no idea why I liked this, But I did - If you were to create something longer with a developed plot, it'd be interesting - The animation was well executed from what little was there.

I enjoyed it

It was interesting, random, trippy - the only thing I'd say is that cannabis isn't a hallucinogenic, and doesn't cause you to trip, at least it won't do unaided - maybe you should've chosen Mushrooms or Acid as the subject, but it was still interesting, and after all it's a cartoon world

SimonGreen responds:

Glad u like it :)
Although Cannabis is a Mild Halucinagenic, But yeah nothing compared to Acid and Mushrooms
You can see some pretty trippy closed eye visuals on it though
But yeah exaggerated cartoon world kinda thing
Thanks Again

Quite amusing...

It reminded me a little too much of "Dad's at work" by Sakupen.... to the point were a few bits were obviously direct copies of that particular flash. Fair enough if you would have credited or told us in the description if it were some sort of "homage" to that other short, but just seemed like you were ripping it off to me.

But besides that point, it was enjoyable, and made me smile - and as simple as it was the animation wasn't at all bad. Good work.

Incredibly Intrigueing...

I agree with what Chuck-eh is saying - the whole lanscape is wonderfully metaphorical - and I'd imagine that the white rabbit was a reference to Alice in Wonderland (Not a rip off like some were saying) - as Melony said "A talking Rabbit, how curious" - which is a direct line from Alice in Wonderland - I'd think that had been done on purpose.
The Animation was stunning, obviously, the most impressive work of flash I've seen in a long while.
